TheatreOne will be holding general auditions in Nanaimo on Monday, September 30, and Tuesday, October 1. Artistic director David Mann and artistic associate Nicolle Nattrass want to see any performers who would be interested in working with TheatreOne this season and beyond.

Non-equity performers are welcome and will be scheduled to audition after all Canadian Actors’ Equity Association (CAEA) members have been seen. Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls, and any members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract. CAEA members are asked to bring their membership card to the audition.

Candidates will be asked to prepare one contemporary monologue no more than three minutes in length. There will be an opportunity to briefly showcase a special skill (singing, dancing, etc.) or contrasting monologue if desired; however, there will not be an accompanist present.

David has over 30 years experience in professional theatre across Canada as an artistic director, director, actor, manager, dramaturge, teacher, business representative, and writer. He has directed or acted in well over 100 professional productions, and has extensive experience in the development and production of new works for the stage. He has been artistic director for Sunshine Theatre in Kelowna, TheatreOne, Workshop West Theatre Edmonton, and Kam Theatre in Thunder Bay.
